Whats IP means?
A "What is my IP" service is a tool that allows you to determine your device's IP (Internet Protocol) address. An IP address is a unique numerical label assigned to every device connected to a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. It serves two main functions: identifying the host or network interface, and providing the location of the host in the network.
When you use a "What is my IP" service, the service sends a request to your device, and your device responds with its IP address. The service then displays your IP address to you.
Your IP address can be either static or dynamic. A static IP address is a permanent address assigned to your device and it remains the same, while a dynamic IP address is temporary and changes each time you connect to the internet.
There are two types of IP addresses: IPv4 and IPv6. IPv4 addresses are written in the format of four numbers separated by periods (e.g., 192.168.1.1). IPv6 addresses are written in the format of eight groups of four hexadecimal digits separated by colons (e.g., 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334).
It's important to note that IP addresses can be used to identify a device's location, but this is not always accurate. IP addresses can be masked or hidden through the use of a virtual private network (VPN) or a proxy server.
